Guess what? I’m on my way to somewhere tropical. Somewhere warmer than 5 degrees. Somewhere I will likely drink rum. It’s almost St. Patrick’s Day. A good holiday to eat a lot or possibly drink a lot. I can’t say that I hit the green beer and Guinness these days but I do sometimes enjoy an Irish coffee and some corned beef and cabbage.
It’s Shamrock Shake season. Several years ago Tim and I were feeling nostalgic for the minty shake we enjoyed when we were younger and we stopped at McD’s to get a couple. It had been a long time since either of us had had one. What a let down! They were nowhere near as minty as we remembered and were too airy and foamy. What a bummer.
It’s my SIL’s birthday today so I made her these delicious cupcakes. Gotta fatten her up! (Just teasing, T!) Happy Birthday! Can you feel the love?
I stuck to regular sized cupcakes instead of jumbo ones for this batch. That makes them ‘light’ cupcakes, right?
How was Christmas? Are you still full? Exhausted? Paper cut from all the unwrapping you did? Yup. Me too.
Now on to New Years Eve. (But I am so tired!)
Planning to party big for New Years Eve? I have no New Years Eve plans. Unless you call being cozy on the couch with Tim in our pajamas by 8pm plans. There may be some champagne. Possibly pizza or Chinese take out with left over Christmas cookies. Possibly this sinful Panna Cotta. Possibly me, asleep on the couch by 9pm.
